Musings over Bett 2015

Well it was a very exciting time for Revision Buddies this year at Bett, not only did we participate at the Bett Futures with Zzish, but we were also a key launch partner of Google Play for Education UK. Whilst this is clearly extremely exciting for Revision Buddies, it should ultimately be transformational for the teaching community who will now have focused, UK adapted educational resources at their fingertips, located and managed in the same place on Android devices across their classrooms.

As well as presenting our apps and how they are set to transform the lives of GCSE students across the UK – and globally for that matter, we were also part of the Bett Futures camp providing live demos of our teacher dashboards and the newly integrated leaderboards that will shift our apps from being an independent tool, to that of a collaborative effort between teachers and students. This will enable teachers to identify key strengths and weaknesses in advance of exam time, as well as to provide for some lively, fun, competitive classroom learning. Read more about it here

Not only was Bett exciting for us in terms of our ability to show others what we are capable of providing to the education community, it was also brilliant to see so many innovative, enticing, personalised and collaborative tools that are set to help students and teachers to get better in every avenue that they set out to achieve in. We loved the likes of Mr. Glue – aiming to help primary school ages with reading and Doodle Maths who are building confidence in youngsters to do better in maths, as well as the likes of Bibblio who are looking to provide educators the most up to date tools for learning on the web. We wish all that took part in Bett 2015 the very best with their developments, it was inspirational to see such energy, determination and drive to help make education better.

And so to next year…
